CRS-18 Splashdown: SpaceX's Dragon Resupply Mission Returns to Earth

Mission Overview

Update: June 6, 7 AM ET

SpaceX has announced a new launch time for today's Starship Flight 4.

SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft, carrying vital supplies for the International Space Station (ISS), is set to return to Earth today after a successful resupply mission. The Dragon capsule is scheduled to splash down in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California, bringing back scientific experiments, equipment, and other valuable cargo.

The launch of the Dragon spacecraft on May 25th marked the beginning of SpaceX's 18th commercial resupply mission (CRS-18) to the ISS. During its time at the space station, the Dragon delivered over 2,500 pounds of cargo to the crew, including food, water, science experiments, and other essential supplies.

SpaceX founder Elon Musk has expressed his excitement about the upcoming splashdown, commenting via his other company X that the mission has been "a great success." The company said that it is not aware of any issues ahead of the targeted launch at 8:50 AM.
